World Poker Tour to Move to GSN
Apr 6th, 2007 by Mark Scalia
World Poker Tour broadcasts will be joining the popular cash game show High Stakes Poker beginning next season. GSN has agreed to pay $300,000 an episode and has the option of picking up the WPT for two more seasons if it chooses to. It will premiere on GSN in January 2008. The move is a huge one for GSN, which adds another powerhouse poker show to their television lineup. The World Poker Tour was the highest rated show on the Travel Channel and now with two very popular shows the network’s viewership should increase greatly.
